Wealth Distribution in Norway

Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten is using the Google Maps API to visualize wealth distribution in Norway. The Norwegian government is proposing to get rid of the country's wealth tax. The Aftenposten map uses data from 2012 tax returns to visualize the distribution of Norway's wealth and wealth tax payers.

The map allows you to search for an address by postal code, or by city or county. If you select a location on the map you can view the number of wealth tax payers in the selected area, the total wealth and the amount raised by the wealth tax in that area. The mapped interactive is being used in a series of articles from the Aftenposten examining a range of issues raised by the government's wealth tax proposals.
